Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms are the agreement between you and Steerly for using the workbench and related services. Plain language where we can manage it; precise where we have to.

The short version. Use Steerly lawfully and as intended, keep your account secure, pay for the plan you're on, and don't try to break or resell the service. Steerly is a guardrail, not a guarantee — you stay responsible for what your agents ship. Either side can end the relationship.

01 Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Steerly, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind it. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

02 The service

Steerly is a local-first workbench that wraps coding-agent sessions with a command firewall, approvals, audit, a Security Room, anomaly detection, auto-remediation, and pull-request risk briefs. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim for high availability but do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

03 Accounts

You're responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Keep them confidential, use a strong unique password, and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract.

05 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

06 Intellectual property

Steerly and its software, design, and trademarks belong to us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service per these terms. Your code, repositories, policy packs, and audit data are yours; we claim no ownership of them. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product.

07 Third-party agents

Steerly works alongside agents and tools you bring — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini, and MCP clients. Those tools are governed by their own terms, and their trademarks belong to their owners; compatibility does not imply endorsement. You are responsible for your use of them and for any keys or credentials you provide.

08 Disclaimers

Steerly reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving what your agents do.

09 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steerly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10 Termination & changes

You may cancel at any time from your account. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to comply with the law. On termination, your license ends and you should export any data you want to keep. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here and dated, and continued use means you accept them.
